Top 10 Coffee Shops to Work in San Francisco

January 22, 2013

We love working outside the office and decided to share with you our TOP 10 coffee shops in San Francisco. All of them have good WiFi connection, accessible plug sockets and friendly atmosphere. Join us for a cup of coffee sometimes! 🙂

1. YakiniQ Cafe

1642 Post St  (on Yelp)

Absolutely adorable quite place with always friendly bartenders and delicious homemade pies. Cafe space is splited for two parts – for those who wants to work or to have a lunch. You can also come here to play board games with your friends – YakiniQ has good selection of different ones.

2. Philz Coffee on Van Ness

748 Van Ness Ave at Turk Blvd, (on Yelp)

Space with tables is separated from the bar zone so you will feel yourself very comfortable there. Sometimes this place reminds me library – similarly quite and calm :). Coffee or hot chai with pumpkin pie – my favorite selection there, try it!

3. ING DIRECT Cafe

101 Post St. (at Kearny St.) (on Yelp)

This place is just great if you want to spend a day working somewhere in the Downtown. It is huge – three floors, lots of space, lots of seating, lots of plugs – you can seat somewhere on the top floor with a great view or use cosy giant bean bags. It is definitely a great place to meet up and discuss business over a cup of tea or coffee.

4. Contraband Coffee Bar

1415 Larkin St. (btwn Sacramento and California St.) (on Yelp)

Cute and cozy cafe with friendly baristas, great espresso and coffee, Square payment systems, plenty of seating, cool vibe and great chocolate bars.

5. Four Barrel Coffee

375 Valencia St (btwn 14th & 15th St) (on Yelp)

Best coffee and cacao in San Francisco are here!  Great space, great machines, love that bearded barista guy :). Sometimes it is pretty crowded and noisy so you shouldn’t make an appointment there – it will be hard to hear each other or hard to find available table. If you happened to be there grab the table

6. Fourth Wave Coffee

1356 Polk St. (at Pine St.) (on Yelp)

Plenty of tables, a decent number of power outlets, and free wifi – very good place to get work done or chat.  Coffee is relatively good.

7. The Creamery

685 4th St (between Bluxome St & Townsend St) (on Yelp)

This place is always occupied by startups who pitch their projects to investors or validating their ideas on cafe guests :). Although it is quite good meeting and working spot just near the Caltrain. They have a good selection of omelettes, crepes, and breakfast sandwiches.

8. Jane

2123 Fillmore St. (on Yelp)

Cute place with amazing coffee and sweets and good facilities for “at home” workers. Sometimes hard to find available place as people with laptops occupy nearly every seat in the venue :). You should consider this place also for business lunch or for grabbing a quick bite on the go.

9. Mission Creek Cafe

968 Valencia St (btwn Liberty & 21st) (on Yelp)

This place quite big so almost anytime you will find available table there (do not forget to check the room behind the bar). As for the food – my choice is bagel with cheese and any kind of tea.

10. Dar Al Fiker

1116 Polk St (between Hemlock St & Post St) (on Yelp)

The service is great and the ambience is very relaxing. Enjoy leaf tea with almond biscotti. Think it is a perfect place to meet friends or to work for a while – wifi and power included.

Sometimes you can meet us in Palo Alto where we are usually choose Coupa Cafe for work or business meeting and Bangkok Cousine  for relaxing lunch.
